Can I wear headphones or listen to music during the Tamworth 10K race?
For health and safety reasons, we ask participants not to listen to music with headphones, except for jawbone conduction headphones. For more details, please refer to our T&Cs.
Can I run with a pushchair, stroller, bike, or buggy at the Tamworth 10K race?
For safety reasons, participants are not permitted to run with pushchairs, strollers, bikes, buggies, or similar items. Please see our T&Cs for more information.
Do Tamworth 10K allow wheelchair athletes to enter the race?
Please contact paul@tamworth10k.com to discuss the type of wheelchair you wish to use and for details on the race route. Some race routes may not be wheelchair accessible.
Are there disabled facilities at Tamworth 10K races?
Some of the venues we use for the start and finish of races have disabled facilities. For more details on specific race venues, please contact paul@tamworth10k.com.
Where is my race number?
Race numbers will be sent out 7–14 days before the race. If you have not received your race number 3 days before the event, please contact paul@tamworth10k.com.
Will there be a bag drop on race day?
Yes, all Tamworth 10K races have a designated bag drop area, typically located near the registration desk.
Can I get a refund or defer my race entry?
We offer the option to transfer your entry to the same race next year or to another Tamworth 10K race within the following 12 months. You may also transfer your entry to another runner or request a partial refund (minus £3.90 administration fee). Please contact paul@tamworth10k.com to confirm.
Please note: This must be done before your race number is sent out. If you have already received your race number, you will need to return it before race day.
Can I run using another runner’s race number?
You must not give your race number to anyone else under any circumstances. A runner using another runner’s race number will be disqualified from the race. For race number transfers before race day, please contact paul@tamworth10k.com.
Are Tamworth 10K race routes officially measured?
Yes, all Tamworth 10K races are officially course measured and certificated by the Association of UK Course Measurers.
Do Tamworth 10K races have a UKA race license? Will race results appear on Powerof10?
Tamworth 10K races do not hold a UKA license and are not advertised as holding a license. As we choose not to insure through UKA, we use an alternative events insurance company. This also means UKA will not publish our race results on Powerof10.
I’ve lost my race number, what should I do?
We charge a £5 administration fee for replacing lost or misplaced race numbers. If you need a replacement, please contact paul@tamworth10k.com before race day.
Will there be medals, t-shirts, or goody bags for finishers at Tamworth 10K?
Yes! All Tamworth 10K races feature a bespoke medal. Some races also offer t-shirts, sports bottles, or other mementos. Water, chocolate bars, nutrition bars, and bananas will also be available at the finish line.
Do Tamworth 10K races have water stations?
Yes, each race will have water stations approximately every 5km. If conditions require it, additional water or sponge stations will be set up, and there will always be water available at the finish line.
Are there KM or mile markers at Tamworth 10K races?
Shorter races will have kilometer markers, and longer races, like Half Marathons, will have mile markers.
Can I see a map of the course?
Course maps will be available on the website for each individual race. A large printed map will also be available at the registration desk on race day. We are currently working on providing clearer mapping and more detailed course profiles.
Will there be an official race photographer on race day?
Yes, an official race photographer will be present at all Tamworth 10K races.
What is Tamworth 10K’s stance on waste and litter?
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact. Please be considerate of litter and waste during the race, including plastic water bottles and gel packs. We are actively exploring alternatives to non-recyclable plastic bottles, and we aim to make our races carbon neutral in the future.
Can I enter a Tamworth 10K race on race day?
Some events may allow on-the-day entries if the event is not fully booked. Please arrive early with a completed entry form and fee. However, for popular events, space may be limited, and late entrants may not receive a medal.
What happens if Tamworth 10K cancels the race due to extreme weather or other extenuating circumstances?
We reserve the right to cancel, delay, or postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including extreme weather or emergency services instructions. In such cases, we will inform participants via available communication channels. If the event is canceled due to circumstances within our control, our liability will be limited to the entry fee paid.
